ASCENSO A CUMBRE

PICO DE ORIZABA

 Condición media - alta

Definitely the most imposing mountaineering challenge in Mexico, the ascent to the highest point in Mexico, to the Orizaba peak volcano on the majestic north face route where the Jamapa glacier is located. An ascent that requires high physical condition and successful experience on the Iztaccíhuatl volcano. This ascent implies a long walk of 4 hours to reach the glacier and another 4 hours to ascend the approximately 800 meters of glacier with the help of crampons, ice ax, rope and professional mountaineering equipment such as ice screws and stakes.

This is an exciting, strong, surprising and beautiful climb. It is a whole technical lesson in mountaineering since the use of specialized equipment is essential, equipment that our guides will teach you how to use. This ascent is definitely not only a physical challenge but also a test of character and teamwork ability.
